Hotel Zaguan Del Darro - גרנדה

Perfect location close to Plaza Neuva/Albaizin/Alhambra, walking distance to most things a traveler needs. Very beautiful and tasteful building utilizing central atrium. Very easy to find relative to many other European hotels hidden in back streets. Friendly, helpful staff.

Shutters had to be closed for quiet (front room facing the street), and the room was slightlly dark without them open. Not a huge problem for us but for some it is.

Location and style

I understood that the hotel has a parking near by but there was no and I was driving around a city for nearly 2 hours looking where to park car. Hotel and outside hotel was quite loud all night.

The location is fantastic - best place to be in all Granada - awesome views of the Alhambra. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. We only paid 39 euros for a double room - fantastic value for money.

Our room was spacious and clean. It was also located along a bustling street. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely like to stay at this hotel again if we visit Granada.

Great location as hotel near all the points of interest including the Allambra. We were generally provided with a satisfactory stay in Granada.

No views of Alhambra as was originally promised.

No parking so need to add €20 per night for parking in granada if staying here. There is no room to drop bags off so must be dragged from taxi on cobbled street

The service was excellent at the hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. The location was excellent, walking distance to everything. The hotel is good value for the money.

The only thing that was a problem was the bed was a bit small and not very comfortable.

The view was lovely from our balcony and the courtyard reception room gorgeous. Great location.

My husband got very sick from we think a piece of jam in the hotel restaurant - vomiting, diarrhea and fever/chills for one of our two days. There was also a weird moldy smell in the room near the bathroom. It is also very hard to get to the hotel by car and you have to pay for parking by the day if you are renting a car.

Good location for the alhambra palace, other points of historic interest, access to tourist centre, shopping district and a vast array of eating options. Add your value for money price and one has a good package.

There are only two negative aspects. 1) Parking Facilities. The hotel will give you two car parking facilities which in reality are about 10 mins, max, away and not a strenuous walk. A directional map from either to the hotel would be good. Dependant on luggage it is easier and quicker to walk than to take a taxi. 2) The hotels cafe/bar partner was closed on the wednesday (rest day) not sure if this just at certain times of the year.

The hotel is in a special spot just along the narrow road from Plaza Nueva, by the little river and below the impressive Alhambra high on the hill. Hotel was quiet (late June) but staff very friendly and helpful. Room was fine, not huge but ok and bathroom was good, nice shower, towels etc. Try to ask for room with view of Alhambra - we were on the 4th floor and cold see two towers ncluding the main bell tower. Hotel in great spot to explore the old town area Albaicin, up to the Mirador with views across the Alhambra at night.

The only negative was the small 'bolster' type pillow - not great if you normally enjoy larger supportive ones :-). But to be fair, it didn't bother us enough to enquire about alternative! And we were fine for two nights. Parking was a challenge but we soon figured St Agustin underground parking with a short walk or taxi to hotel.

My daughter and I spent hours on the little balcony outside our room, looking up at the Alhambra and down on the Darro River. We had our "home school" there.

The triple was a little crowded. Our daughter's bed was smashed right up against mine, so it was difficult to get in and out of bed.

Beautiful surroundings, beautiful hotel. Great location! Room was a loft with a view of Alhambra! Amazing! Right across from the Hammam and the shopping.
